Meanwhile, don't forget we're reading the works of H.P. Lovecraft for the next meeting, focusing on the Cthulhu Mythos. Some links of interest include

(1) When and where is the Chthulhu-discussing meeting this month? Next week sometime, right (week of Oct. 21-27 2007)? What day and what time? In the Westland public library? Or does Westland have more than one public library? Do we need to which room? How do I get there from Livonia or Farmington?
(2) the writer Kage Baker has a story in which the "Ph'nglui mglw'nfah Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" is sung to the tune of Louie Louie, which I guess could indeed have been what the Kingsmen were saying.

is to the tune of "Hakuna Matata". The meter fits.
I heard Tom sing Cthulhu Fthagn a few weeks back, with Luke Ski (another filker) doing the alternate voice.
They were brilliant.
He's actually got an MP3 version available for $.75 on his download page: http://www.tomsmithonline.com/dl.htm
